Unimportant files checker

Sometimes organizations upload their employee details, salary information, and other sensitive legal documents such as signed contracts and have them sitting somewhere on their website, assuming those files would never be found by search engines! But sometimes Google can be pretty nosy! Use this tool to check for any PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, TXT files that Google may have indexed.

Google can scan and index more than just web pages. It can crawl and index PDF files, Word documents, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and raw text files.

Sometimes, inadvertently, businesses upload sensitive documents such as signed legal documents, contracts, employee details, or even password files to their website, hoping that Google won't find them! However, Google can be quite nosy at times.

If you spot any important files Google may have indexed (that shouldn't have been indexed), they need to be removed from the Google index.

Not only will you need to remove them from your web server, but you will also need to remove them from Google's index.

To do that, you will need to log in to your Google Search Console. From the left menu, click on Removals, then click on the New Request button, from the Temporarily Remove URL tab, enter the URL you want to remove. Then click on the Clear Cached URL tab and do the same.
